The Veterans for Lebanon is a Dutch foundation created by former Dutch Unifil soldiers who served in Lebanon from 1979 to 1985. After the Beirut blast in 2020, the foundation started sending relief goods to Lebanon. They also began a project to restore and improve the ICT and internet network of the Collège des Soeurs des Saints Coeurs – Bauchrieh. The foundation installed a wireless 5G network, provided desktops and laptops that helped establishing a Tech Academy to offer numerous classes to students in a hope of preparing them for a better future. Looking ahead, the Veterans for Lebanon aims to maintain its commitment to improving the school's ICT system and network backbone, with periodic visits to the school to oversee and implement these improvements. The VVL team from Holland, easily recognizable by their logo featuring the flags of the Netherlands and Lebanon, symbolically locked together by the Unifil/United Nations badge, remains dedicated to their noble mission.
